Mothra Says…….Get Your Sushi Fix Here. Now, K gets in the mood for Japanese cuisine about 2-3 times a year. Me? I am in the mood weekly. Seriously, I love Japanese cuisine. So a recent Saturday afternoon proved to be that day…. I was excited. We walked over on a sunny afternoon at lunch time at Progress Ridge, entered, and were seated promptly by the window. This is a modern, good looking restaurant and as soon as we were seated, Jenna dropped by, greeted us, and explained the large menu. There is quite a bit of choices on this menu so it did take a few moments. I ordered a hot tea and two of Portlands finest. With our order came a bowl of miso soup that was served almost immediately. We did wait about 25 minutes and then the most beautiful trio of sushi rolls arrived on one large platter: a salmon, cream cheese, avocado roll; a spicy ahi tuna roll; a yellow fin tuna with cucumber roll. In addition, I asked for a side of white rice. For the two of us, this was a perfect lunch with 22 pcs of sushi. Ready for this? That plate was $11.00We thoroughly enjoyed our choices and made a mental note of many of the sushi items that we will choose on the next visit. Great flavors, great presentation, very good service with Jenna, great lunchtime prices. Mothra says…3.60 of 5.0

High standards. For pictures yelp has over 40. I would say don’t get the potstickers if you don’t like endame. The mashed potatos were not real. However that being said the food was amazing. The steak was so amazing, the chicken terayki was also good. The fried rice was ok and the iced tea was great. I’d also like to state I saw them scrubbing the entire place clean, even the chairs, the menu’s, everything had a high standard of health. The dishes also looked brand new as if they had never been eaten off of, so I’d recommend this place. I don’t eat sushi or raw or cold food but I’m sure it’s just as good for those who like it. The standars this place maintains from what I could see is on par with Seattle or a NYC. It def is a contender for good food in the area.

Happy. My wife and I have been here twice since it opened and neither time were we disappointed. Our server both times was Jenny. She is great and goes out of her way to make sure your experience is what it is supposed to be.

Overall really enjoyed this place. We had 3 rolls and 3 sushi. Sushi pieces were large and well cut. I liked their sushi rice. The rolls were large and well made. The Nikki house special roll was special we really liked it. The decor was interesting, tables and lighting were nicely upscale. Over the bar though was a big screen tv. Interesting combination.
