This review covers delivery only. I’ve never actually been in the restaurant. The ordering experience is always pleasant; the staff is friendly and helpful. I’m barely within city limits and some restaurants balk at delivering to my location; the people at AB Chinese don’t. Delivery is always within a reasonable time. The food is easily as good as any other Chinese delivery or take-out I’ve ever had.
My mom and I went to AB Chinese for lunch today. We ordered two dishes and shared it, which is what we generally do. One order was the sweet & sour shrimp lunch, which comes with the shrimp, rice and soup. The other dish was a pepper beef combo, which was very good. The sweet & sour shrimp was NOT good. The shrimp had not been cleaned (gross!!), so there was no way we would eat it. Took the server awhile to get back to us as we were nearly done eating (no, we didn’t eat the shrimp!). She asked how everything was and I was honest and told her that we could not eat the shrimp because it was not clean. She was apologetic and offered to remove the price from our bill. She took the full plate of shrimp away and brought us our bill with an explanation of how it was a mistake to not clean it. I looked at the bill and she discounted the bill by $2. So, instead of $7.95, it was $5.95 for the rice and soup… I guess? I was surprised that the shrimp was only worth $2 and that she told us a few moments before that she would remove it from our bill. I have ordered shrimp and this particular dish many times in the past and the shrimp was always clean. Too bad this place is going down hill. I won’t ever order there shrimp again and don’t know that I will be back at all. The entire thing left a bad taste in my mouth, no pun intended!
A Good Checkpoint. I like to come here once in a while. It is a good place to get people together and have a load of food at a fair price. I stay away from the chicken dishes as they often have very tough fatty bits, but otherwise I never have a negative experience. I will be going back at some point.

Really liked this dish , the flavor was good and I liked the mix of veggies.21 Mar, 2014It was time to enjoy another good dinner at AB Chinese and have enough to take home for later. The three of us had a great dinner. My hubby had his favorite Moo Goo Gai Pan, always very good. I tried the Broccoli with Beef Combo, I really liked the flavor of the sauce. The third in our party had Lo Mein with Sweet and Sour Chicken (special) which he liked. We always have friendly, good service.14 Aug, 2013Have to stop at AB regularly. Always enjoy AB Chinese. AB CHINESE is the BEST!. I have been coming to AB Chinese for the past 10 years and the food is still as good as it use to be. This is a family owned restaurant and everything is freshly made before you order. I always get the lunch combination A which consist of Chicken chow mein, sweet and sour pork and pork fried rice. The food comes out fast, price is very reasonable and the service is excellent. I will definitely be back again.
My favorite Chinese food in all Oregon. Unbeatable value considering the portion sizes and price. Has the best tofu and although humble as a locale , excellent service is included
