Sadly have not been impressed the past 4 times I’ve been here! I don’t know who is cutting their meats but get that stringyness out of the beef please!! When I ordered a sirloin, and the butchers cut meal, both were almost inedible. Couldn’t chew through the stringy bits and couldn’t enjoy the good parts of the meat. They almost always forget things, last few times the salmon has been overcooked and dry. Used to be good! Not sure what’s going on in here but I don’t think I’ll be back for a while. I do enjoy their cheeseburgers and fries. Would like to see more tasty unique menu options.

Most of the visits have been pleasant experiences with very good food.We dined with friends from out of state last night at the Albany site. We have dined here before and as usual the experience was not enjoyable.The host was lost. He didn’t know what he was doing. But the worst part was the barely warm food. This happens every time we go here. We ordered the riblet platter ,the ribs were not hot, the fries were cold. Asked our about our fries. She asked if they were not cooked long enough. I said no they are cold please get us some fresh hot fries. She brought us this little serving that was less than what I had the first time, and they were barely acceptable for warmth. But the kicker here is there were supposed to be fries for two of us. I think I’ve sworn off this Applebee’s. As we left we noticed another couple complaining about their experience also. Definitely done with Albany Applebee’s.

BAD service.. I have been to Apple bees in both Salem and Corvallis and have had fantastic experiences. My husband and I have gone to the one in Corvallis through out my years at OSU and we recently moved to Albany, so we expected nothing less than good service. We came in and was seated right away. The place was not very busy, but not dead. There were plenty of empty tables. We sat and were given menus. As we looked we saw a server–whom I assume was suppose to be ours. He went by us a few different times, but made no indication he even realized we were there. We waited paitently for about five minutes and still nothing from the server, who had passed us a few times again. After eight minutes of being ignored I looked at my husband and asked if he wanted to leave and he nodded, so we left with out saying a word. I understand if a place is packed and busy and have no issue waiting on a busy server, but the place was not packed by any means and the server did not ever say a word to us. We will not be going back anytime soon to this Applebees, which is a shame!

Need some cooking lessons. We decided on Applebees for dinner. My wife ordered the new Lemon Shrimp Fettuccine. My son and I did the two for $20 steak dinners. Drinks and appetizer came out quickly and was good. However, when our steak dinners came my wifes dinner did not show up for another 10 + minutes. When her Lemon Shrimp Fettuccine did come the pasta was not properly cooked, some not cooked at all. My baked potato was also not cooked through, hard in the middle. Manager did replace the baked potato. Manager also took the cost of my wife dinner off the bill. Our server and manager were very nice and apologetic. But all we really wanted was a nice eatable dinner. Not sure we will be back.
Applebee’s in Salem, Oregon. In Liberty Street. Some Applebee’s are better than others but not by much. We had the onion soup and it was okay. Service was good but the food in general left much to be desired, very uneventful but must admit that the area was to our liking (first time in Salem, Oregon). I am sure Salem has much better places to eat but we resorted to the familiar and for that there is always a price to pay. In this case food that is plain average, never spectacular. Total amount for 3 people was around $43 before gratuity. Had a hamburger with bacon twice, with different breads, fish and chips, ice tea and coffee. Nice area, average place to eat.
