Deluxe brewing makes lagers…..doesn’t mean that they don’t or won’t make ales, just that their focus is lagers. if you are a beer drinker and don’t know the difference you need to stop by and see what’s going on. howie and crew are making some really good beers and I can only imagine that it’s going to get better with time. their hours are limited so make sure you check out the tasting room hours BEFORE you put it on your to do list. can’t wait to taste some of the whiskey that’s in the barrels
Deluxe Brewing has set up shop in the old Tec Labs building on Water St. Right now it is just beer & pretzels & a fenced off seating area. They have everything they need to be a successful tasting room. It’s basically in an old warehouse that is cold but there is a space heater off to one side. When we visited they had 3 beers on tap and a handful of patrons. After a taste we both had a pint of their bock. It was very good and I almost filled my growler. You can visit them on Fridays & Saturdays and I think they also have a guest tap at Calapooia right now (just down the street). Swing by and visit Albany’s newest brewery and distillery.
