Started off with an error in our reservation for a large party. The staff found room for us, but the manager was less than friendly for their mistake. Ordered the pork belly fries for appetizer which were amazing. The main course was not as good. The jambalaya lacked any spice, although the waitress warned me it was hot. The chicken and sausage were overcooked. My wife ordered the mushroom ravioli. She got six average size ravioli for $18. When I got the bill, I asked the waitress why we didn’t get the happy hour prices. I was told those were only for the bar section, although that isn’t advertised on their menu. This restaurant has potential, but didn’t show it during this visit. Not sure I’ll be returning.

Pork belly fries – nough said! We generally sit in the bar, friendly service. It is a bit spendy- try hitting happy hour. The steak is good and so is the pasta.

Not Good Enough. One of my friends encouraged we go to Frankie’s for her birthday. I like trying new food establishments and I had never been there so I was excited as she had given it high praise. To cut to the chase I am pretty sure she only loves it because her friend works there, but I could be wrong. The friends I sat around (Large group) said the food was either alright tasting or worse. My steak I ordered was cooked over medium and I had ordered it medium rare, luckily it was the only mistake. Our food was not at peak temperature as all our food came out warm enough instead of an expected steaming hot. The service was good, but apparently we got a good server according to the people that had been there before, so take that as you will. In summation, if I am going to pay anywhere from $50 and up (which it will be more, that was the lower end of costs at our table) on dining for two, I have higher expectations. I felt like we could have had a better experience, at half the cost, at pretty much anywhere else. I have no interest in going back.

We just finished our last meal at Frankie’s. My wife had a pathetic scallop meal, $22.00 for Three scallops and a half of can of beans & some asparagus. You would think it would go without saying (or asking) that when you see a scallop appetizer for $12.00 for 2 scallops….for the additional $10 bucks a guest would receive more than one additional gritty scallop and a half cup of cannoli beans. When this dish hit our table my wife and I both questioned the server about the lack of value for the additional cost over the price of the scallop appetizer. She simply stood at our table with the look and attitude as if…..what do you expect me to do about it? I had the saffron prawns and risotto, not even a hint of saffron in this dish and the prawns were of course, overcooked. I really do not mind paying a good price for a exceptionally good meal, that was not the case tonight. Very disappointed overall. Word of mouth is everything Frankie’s. My wife makes far better food at home.

Beware. Took 40 mins to receive 3 out of 4 meals, it became apparent they forgot the 4th, had to ask twice for it then the toast was still coming later. Undercooked hashbrowns, lukewarm soup, burned hamburger bun, no condiments for the burger and had to wait forever for a little tiny cup of mustard, very small portions on two of the plates, brought salmon eggs benedict instead of the veggie and the $18.99 was on the bill, they only got one out of 4 meals at our table correct! Never was offered a refill on water or drinks. The best part was the hysterical manager whose only excuse was they were shorthanded and the owner was not there that day, she took 20% off the bill and was so sorry, it was such an uncomfortable meal with our friends, won’t EVER go back03 Nov, 2014Absolutely horrible experience. Frankie’s is Great. Frankie’ s has been a great addition to the North Albany Center. The menu options are not only delicious , but creatively presented. The friendly staff does a wonderful job of making patrons feel welcome. Meals always taste better when served with a smile. We especially enjoy the Sunday morning brunch and hope Frankie’s will be around for a long time.

Was an amazing and unexpected treat of incredible food, beautiful outdoor patio and friendly and professional service in the middle of Albany! We were there visiting family and I was completely surprised. We had a large group and every meal was very well done. The produce was incredibly fresh. Wine was great. A few clams served to me completely locked closed but that is the only issue I had. Would definitely go back again.
