Must of been a bad night for the kitchen. Was not happy with the quality of what we paid for!..chicken was good but the roll I ordered seemed to be a mayonnaise cream cheese sauce….I’ll try again for sure even though got bad service and overcharged( on Bill). Just because only other choice in town is horrible sushi crab buffet
Heaven in a Strip Mall. It’s in a strip mall and the interior is depressingly bare. But you know what? We’ve been there a million times. Certainly the best sushi in Albany. Maybe the best in Corvallis if you take price into consideration. Better than most in Portland, price being considered. Even their non-sushi entrees are great.
Fresh looking fish, but the taste was not fresh. Oil used to cook tempura seemed old and discolored and it left an odd taste on the shrimp and veggies. Edamame was covered in salt – too much. Was close to closing time but staff seemed distracted – one by time spent repeatedly on her laptop. My companion liked the miso soup but I was not so inclined. I also tasted companion’s salmon teriyaki and found it dry.
Great food–best sushi for miles. We have eaten lunches and dinner there for years. The food has always been the same, delicious and hot. They will amend the dish a bit if you ask.Lunches are a slightly better value but the prices are moderate for dinnner too.Noticed the comment about slow service. That has never been our case; perhaps it depends on how busy they are at the time you order.
Absolutely awesome!. Our dinner was fabulous. Both my husband and I had the Teri Bento Box. We both chose chicken. The chicken was great…no fat, plenty of flavor. The meal came with 6 huge California roll pieces…very fresh. It also came with three gyoza (fried dumplings)…those were very good as well. Also included were three vegetable tempura pieces and two shrimp tempura pieces…fried perfectly. Still more food was included…edamame, white rice, miso soup and salad. This bento box was $17.95…well worth the price! Will definitely return over and over again.
So You Wanna Have Some Great Sushi?. Well Ginza is the place for you! My father and I visit Ginza at least one a month for their sushi combo plate. The Sushi is fresh, thick cut pieces of fish on some of the best sticky rice I have ever tasted. The decor is absolutely charming and the owners are wonderful. My dad and I always joke that if we won the lottery we would pay the sushi chef to be our personal sushi chef and body guard. Great place to eat but be warned, it is a little costly at night so I recommend going during lunch to save yourself some coin.
