We are new to Albany and wanted to start trying out local restaurants in town. The food was great but the service from our server was the worst EVER! My husband took me for my birthday dinner. We went around 4ish. Place was not busy when we arrived. To make a long story short the food was amazing. Best pot stickers and eggs rolls we have ever ate. The server made our drinks and it was awful. Had to send back. The bartender was available later and the drinks were perfect. When we received our dinner, our server was nowhere to be found. Not once did she take a dirty dish or ask if we needed anything after all the food was delivered. At this time, we have only received 1 round of drinks. Our server assumes we are ready to leave and brings our bill and at that time we said we would like 1 more drink before we go, mind you, we are still eating. From there her attitude really got worse. She treated us like it was a huge inconvenience to order from the bar. We are thinking, youre kidding right? Who doesn’t like the bill to get higher? Higher bill, higher tip! When we got our final bill, we notice that the server has overcharged us for 1 drink. At this point we are talking to the bartender at our table and she makes full eye contact with me and rolls her eyes, then shakes her head as in disgust. Now I am upset. How rude!!! So, guess what? For the first time EVER in my 55 years I have never NOT left a tip for any server. If they are bad I leave the 15% and if they are good, we tip high. This server got ZERO from us! We had close to a $70 bill and she got nada! When we were leaving, my husband went and talked to the bartender and explained why she wasn’t getting a tip and he said he understood. We have never left a restaurant mad. So, we can cross this off our list of places to eat again.
