Where’s my Waiter. I always go to Elmers for prime rib but they were out so sweet waters special prime rib so I had a nice grisly prime rib this is like the 2nd time it was like that (Hence why I go to Elmers) another time they were out of the prime rib so they gave me a rib eye, Still grisly, Where do they get there meat? and people have to be complaining but to top this off Instead of having a waiter I was waiting on a waiter as she was cleaning counters at the prep area and when I finished the meal Yep where’s the waiter for dessert, still wiping down counters, Hey lady (55 yr old short blonde) its only 7pm well never came back so instead of a 2 hr dinner it was time to go and they were right there to the counter for the money and when she asked how it was I told her it would of been nice to have had dessert but you were doing your end of shift duties 2 hrs early and left me hanging, But I did get a sorry and she clamed up. Never again will I go back and eat grisly food.

Time warp….and not a good one. Decor from the 90s. Ugh. Out to dinner with husband, we are both over 60 years old but, i still expect a good fresh meal for a decent price. Neither of which we got. We both had the salad bar with brown lettuce and a few other salads, fruit, macaroni, etc. I ordered the bean with ham soup and it was luke warm and I don’t think it was homemade. The garlic toast was a slice of French bread slathered with cooking oil and grilled on one side. We both had coffee, that was the only thing that was acceptable. Our bill was $24. I felt bad for the server who doted on us since we were the ONLY people there. She was good despite the food and atmosphere. Never will go back. I can’t believe this is the kind of restaurant that is acceptable in Albany. We as patrons need to demand better, don’t patronize this restaurant and maybe they will go away.

Rich. This place was the worst service I have ever had. The waitress dropped and broke a hot pot of coffee on my wives lap. It had ruined her blouse with coffee stains and soaked her jeans we had to go home to let her change cloths. We weren’t even offered a free breakfast or meal for the dumping of coffee. Not even apolgy from the manager. I would not recommend this place to anyone avoid this place.

Ate here a couple of years ago and will never go back. The price of the meal is incredibly expensive and the quality of food was sub par. Canned green beans and meat that looks and tastes as if was individually packaged, frozen slabs that were purchased at Costco in a cardboard box. I bet the box has better flavor. Will never go back no matter how good I hear the pie is.

Cold dinner. I ordered open turkey sandwich with mash potatoes and gravy. it was cold. The potato soup was cold. Mother asked for coffee took 25 minutes for her to get a cup then for some reason they didn’t ask her if she wanted more. We had to hunt down a waitress to get her some. Did they want to fit the problem no… Paid $8.30 for a cup of soup… Guess I was the fool and not a regular… They seem to cater to the regular’s…

Geriatric corral!. I love places where I’m the youngest kid on the block.Sweet Waters was awash with senior citizens even more senior than SWMBO and I. So much blue and grey had not been seen in the same place since the battle of Gettysburg! It’s the kind of home town diner that’s a landmark in every middle-American hamlet. As with most places of this ilk, the food was good but not spectacular. My bride had a cup of Vegetable Beef Soup and a Grilled Cheese Sandwich. I chose their daily special which was a Prime Rib Sandwich. I had a Garden Salad. Carol liked her lunch and my Sandwich was Rare Prime Rib with Swiss Cheese and Grilled Onions grilled on French Bread and served with Au Jus ala French Dip style. Very good but very rich. The Salad was typical Sysco. When we first walked in a piece of Blueberry Cheesecake, in the Pie display case, beckoned until my resolve crumbled. It was good, but I’ve had fresher and better. Our pretty, perky server, Amanda, did a top-notch job. The venue is spacious and clean, but rather dated with big comfy chairs and half and full booths reminiscent of the 60’s or 70’s. There was a horseshoe bar set off to the side where the solo post-retirement blue collar guys seemed to congregate. Our bill just breached the double saw-buck mark by a skosh. (Pre-tip) They do not accept American Express. If you’d like to have a slice of Americana (or not-quite-ready-for-the-big-time, but pretty good Blueberry Cheesecake) give Sweet Waters a try. And tell ’em Chuck sent you.

Spendy…. I had been to Sweetwaters before, but it had been such a long time (years) that I decided to pop in the other day for a quick lunch. The spinning tower of great looking pies that greeted me just inside the front door had my hopes high for a great lunch. I was surprised to find that around noon there were only two other tables beside my own that had customers. The question why was answered when I opened the menu; nothing of substance can be touched for under $9. I ordered one of my favorite lunch items of all time, a Reuben sandwich, and told myself that if it was good, then it would be money well spent. I spotted my waitress carrying my sandwich from afar and was disappointed in the size before it even hit my table. My disapointment continued when I began eating it; Multi-grain toast, bottled dressing, VERY runny sauerkraut, and a trace amount of low-grade corned beef left me questioning the sanity of the person pricing the menu items. On the more positive side, the side salad was good, the booths were comfy, and the bathrooms were clean. All of this being said, In my opinion, the food quality is far off the price. Dont bother givin em a taste…
