Best food in town!. Sybaris is the only fine dining establishment my family and I frequent. We’ve tried most places over the years but we never found a place that we really liked until Sybaris. Sybaris is consistently good and at times amazing. Service is always good and the dining room is very well done.
Great Restaurant!!. I love Sybaris, it is in a nice downtown location with a beautiful surrounding area and inside has a nice and peaceful atmosphere to it. The inside is a beautiful and quaint little place, you can either sit and relax close to the fire while you enjoy your food or you can be placed at another table or outside on a sunny day. Not only do i love the atmosphere of Sybaris but i also believe they have one of the best wait staffs in the Willamette Valley. From the moment you walk in to the moment that you leave it feels as if you are being waited on hand and foot. Their main waiter Jesse seems to do everything that he can to ensure that you as the customer will have the best experience that you possibly can while at Sybaris. Not only am i blown away by the effort that their servers put out but also everything that Matt does in the Kitchen is Amazing!! Not only does Matt already make amazing food that sometimes just blows you away he also changes his menu every month and keeps it up to date with vegetables that are in season and he also tries to keep his food local. Sybaris is a well respected restaurant and i recommend it to anyone that has the time and is willing to try something new. You will not regret it!
Just Go Here. Get a hundred bucks and take your date here. You can challenge your palate but you also can’t go wrong with the flat iron, either. Ambiance: A+ Staff knowledge and service: A+ Food: A+ Stop searching the internet and just go here. Your date (or business associate) will thank you.
Must have been the Chef’s night off. I had such high hopes for this place with all of the rave reviews and the nominations for the Chef, but what I ate was abysmal. I went in the winter and the menu was seasonal so I am willing to give it another try. I honestly think we may have come in on a day the chef was absent. I went with a dinner party of four and all of us were greatly disappointed. The steak was bland and the potatoes were still crunchy because they were barely cooked. The cheesy sauce on the potatoes was lumpy and separating. I really really want to like this place so I will hopefully be able to convince my husband to give it another try. Its hard to when it was so horrible the first time and we paid so much. None of us ate even half of our meal and we opted not to box it up to take home. If I try again and it is as good as everyone else has reviewed it to be then I will promptly correct my review.
An Orgy of Tastes andTextures. This was my first trip to Sybaris. It definitely won’t be my last. We came to eat on the first Tuesday of the month. That means it was a brand new menu. The atmosphere was wonderful and our server was great. His knowledge of their wine list was impressive and his suggestions for wine to accompany each dinner was spot on. Dinner itself was amazing. We (4 of us) each shared some of our meal with each other. Our server kept us guessing as to ingredients in certain desserts. All in all a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend Sybaris, especially to anyone who truly appreciates fine cuisine.
This place…OMG so amazing! The best in Oregon. This resturant was reccomened to my husband. So I took my husband for his birthday. The atmoshere was inviting. We got seated in front of the fireplace. The server…he was the best ever. The food….I can’t put it into words…delightful…bravo…innovative. The fact that the owners change their menu once a month makes it exciting and makes you want to go back again & again. We got to meet the chef which was I thought wonderful. I did not mind paying the price…very very very worth it. I would reccomend this place to anyone.
Fantastic. We have been going to Sybaris at least once a month since 2003 and the last two years have gone twice a month as our ‘stimulus’ package. The food is great, the wait staff is friendly and helpful and the monthly change in the menu is refreshing. Incidentally, we live in Lake Oswego, Oregon. It is worth the drive.
