I usually don’t write very many reviews but the sweet Lebanon baloney is so good. I was so excited to finally drive here and shop. I forgot to look carefully at the menu as they make sandwiches! I found the pickles they very were tasty especially the sweet, hot dill pickles. I will be back the cheese is so inexpensive along with the other products. Staff are very helpful and sincere.

If you’re looking for great value, a visit to Grocery Depot is an absolute must. The shelves are stocked with deeply discounted items that are close dated, damaged or otherwise in close-out status. Examples: Hostess items 10 for $1, salad dressings 5 for $5, ramen noodles 9 cents, Dunkin Donuts coffee $4.50. I walked about with 4 bags of groceries for $19 and that included two bags of coffee. Really great. I’ll be making this a regular stop. I did not try the deli but grabbed lunch from the cold case for just a few cents. Amazing.

A discount grocer with an Amish Deli offering 34 different meat choices and 35 cheese selections. However the best deals are what’s on the shelves: discount spices, snacks, cheeses, and deli meats. Everything is 70% off what you would pay at a retail grocer. Once I got a whole wheel of Brie cheese for $5. Another time, a whole 8oz log of goat cheese for $2. Even a whole 12oz tub of fresh mozzarella pearls for $1. This is the perfect place to get gourmet cheeses for cooking or taking to a dinner party. Their inventory is unpredictable so it keeps you coming back to see what’s new.

The Grocery Depot is back on track! I had experienced a brief hiatus here due to their cut back bread selection but now I am happy to report they have re-upped the menu! They now offer seven sandwich choices off the menu and some kids items. I enjoyed The Depot Club on toasted sourdough. (You can get your bread toasted now or opt for a panini!) You still fill out the cheat sheet for all the toppings and such and you can still make it a combo. The prices have gone up a bit but I still think this is hard value to beat locally.Oh and by the way they are offering more baked goods as well. Pies, muffins, cookies, cinnamon rolls & even whoopie pies!30 May, 2013I’m in this parking lot all of the time but seldom do I wander into The Grocery Depot. It’s run by some very nice Mennonite folks and they build one heck of a sandwich! Tonight I ordered the Prime Roast Beef with extra cheese in a combo (chips & 20 oz. bottle) $6.50. It was delicious & more than I could put away. Just fill out the easy order sheet and a few minutes later you’re set to go.It is a grocery store and there’s no tables inside so it’s to go orders only but this is perfect for me on a work day. Plus you can grab some extra goodies while your there cause the price is right.

Sandwich Depot…. Following the advice of my foody forefathers, Navalis and Chuck, my sister and I dropped by Grocery Depot yesterday to grab a samich after her job interview at Bo-macks. I have shopped at this bent and dent store several times, bought meats and cheeses, but have never ordered a meal. This place has a selection that would make John Montagu put down his cards and ponder the available choices. Get this; four kinds of bread, veggies, all of their meats, all of their cheese, and other toppings are all available for your custom made sandwich. (that is a ton of meat and cheese)I chose the sourdough, smoked turkey, dill havarti, lettuce, tomato, pepperoncinis, ranch dressing and mustard. My sister went with sourdough, roast beef, havarti, lettuce, tomato, mayo, and mustard. As Chuck mentioned, this is a slammin deal! These sandwiches are STACKED with meat! you could not touch a sandwich of this quality for this price anywhere in Albany. $6.25 for the combo meal or $4.99 just for the sandwich. Great food, high quality meats and cheeses, nice people, and cheap prices! I would pass up Subway any day for this place! I suggest you give em a taste
