SLOW service and not worth the $$. Should not leave a restaurant still feeling hungry for $25 a plate. I do have to say it was good, but instead of 3 scallops maybe 6. Also not a huge fan of cold cream brle !
Not impressed. The ceviche was dry and tasteless did not taste fresh in the least I think it was frozen. Grass fed burger unnecessary spice added that took away from the beef and medium rare order was overcooked. Won’t be back.
Disappointed with a usually good restaurant. In the past, I’ve been a big fan of Vault 244. It’s generally one of the better restaurants in Albany. Our experience last week erased all the good past I’ve had with Vault. This visit was on a weekday night, so it’s was not as busy as the popular weekend nights. That was nice, since Vault can be quite packed on Fri and Sat.We arrived on time for our reservation, and we were seated, as requested, outside. Our drink order was taken and received in an OK amount of time. However, it took *45 minutes* to receive our appetizers, and over an hour to get dinner. While waiting for our dinner, our server didn’t stop by the table for 20 minutes. It would have been nice to have been told things were running behind.I mentioned something to our server, who had no reply as to why everything took so long. Again, it was not weekend-busy. When our food finally arrived, two of the four dishes we ordered were lukewarm.I’m just disappointed that a historically good restaurant can fail so hard.
Usually a great place. Made reservations. We had drinks, apps. and dinner. Then, after two hours a waiter came up and asked us if we could give up our table for a another group with reservations. Meanwhile there was another table that was empty. Great….not going back!!!
Great food, outstandstanding decor and prices are extremely reasonable for the quality of food and drink. 6.50 for lavender lemon drop is a steal!!! Service is quality as well. Thank you Vault for a perfect evening!
Beautiful restaurant with lots of good options and reasonable prices. We happened to go during happy hour and mostly ordered from that menu. I really liked the scallops and the Caesar wedge. We also tried all five desserts. They were all good, but the creme brle was the favorite. Others at my table really enjoyed the 50/50 burger and the calzone. We had made a reservation, which I would recommend.
Amazing, heavenly, everything good. I can’t say enough good things about the Vault. I love it here. I’ve tried many menu items, many items change while a few remain. Their artichoke dip is so delicious and is always on the menu. Their drinks are fabulous. The cosmopolitan martini they make is the standard to which I hold all cosmopolitan’s and regarless of when I go or who the bartender is for the night they are consistently good. Great place for conversation. Yes it gets busy weekend nights, but week nights is usually a sure thing. It’s a romantic place when my husband and I go and when the girls and I go it makes for a fun ladies night. I feel so fortunate that this place is in Albany.
