My personal favorite pizza in Portland. When it comes to pizza I am a classic, just pepperoni. They do blot the pizza so if that offends you like it does me tell them not to blot your pizza. Yes the place dirty and they have a bit of an attitude, and a super attitude if the owner is present, he has the worst for customer service I have seen. Despite all that, yes I will be back for the best pizza in Portland.
Made my own pizza- sausage, green peppers and onions. OMG IT WAS SO GOOD. Seriously. The best. EVER. And the pizza was HUGE! Worth the wait and every bite. Friendly staff and laid back environment. So pleased imriche.com
Always a treat! Best NY pie in Portland! For 32 years Escape from NY has been cranking out great pie for Portland. Pick your flavor and away you go! Whole pies or by the slice.
I crave.. Escape from New York pizza is a Portland landmark. I have been enjoying the delicious classic NY style pizza since I was a kid at its original location downtown. Still the best.
BEST pizza in Portland.
Unless it’s freshly out of the oven, it’s not good. My first visit, my slice of cheese pizza was good. My other visits delivered mediocre, barely hot pizza. They warm up the pizza once you order it, but it wasn’t hot enough. It was a, dare I say, ‘luke-warm’ pizza. Gross. But, honestly, the crust is thin, toppings scarce and overall greasy. Some ppl like the pizza here. I prefer other places. It’s not terrible. It’s ok. But I usually go for ‘great’. As in, I actually want to enjoy my meal Bc it’s so freaking delicious and not end up complaining about what I just ate (Bc that would annoy who I’m with. Trust me). I basically have mixed reviews on this place. Not sure I’ll try it again to break the tie, though.
The food is decent but forget any customer service. Came in with my family and didn’t have $100 cash on us. So the idiot at the counter forced us to run around town to find an ATM. Oh well he told us of an ATM next store that has been out of service for years.
