The Phoenix Has Risen. It is back from the dead, new owners fixed the structural issue which forced the closure. Fortunately they did not change the dive bar interior. The menu has been upgraded lightly with a quality hand made burger now on the menu. A great place to get your drink on early in the day.

Avoid League Night. The people that belong to the pool league are extremely rude. DO NOT come here on league night. or ever.12 Jul, 2011Pool League @ssholes. The people that belong to the pool league are extremely rude. DO NOT come here on league night. or ever.
A true, old school Portland landmark. The server was full of character, spunk & humor – we loved her. Great club sandwich & breakfast all day.
Nice eats and fun staff. Joe’s is one of my favorites when I’m in the area. Breakfasts are good and so are the burgers. The portions are a bit on the bigger side so I never leave complaining I didn’t get enough. And I must say… I like my waitresses a bit on the sassy side. This place has been around and has some amazing history. Just ask the staff, they’ll tell you all about it.
