Great spot. You have to check it out!. If you don’t like loud, obnoxious, crowded bars serving terrible excuses for drinks to 21 year olds then this is your place. The drinks are awesome and the ambiance is perfect. The atmosphere is super chill. It’s a great place to waste an afternoon.
Food and drink were good. Service was pretty poor. And super slow. not even a busy night. Could have been a fluke – we’ll come back and try again. Great patio!!!
Nice place, but my wife and I were bumped out of our seats for a larger party mid meal. Extremely rude. Worst Portland dining experiece
Happy hour on Sundays! Beers are $3.50 all day. I ordered the pork sandwich with fries. It was a very tasty sandwich and the fries were plentiful. The atmosphere is really cool and the waitstaff was excellent and attentive
Quiet, Moody place for spirits. I recently met a friend for drinks at Pope House Bourbon Lounge during happy hour. The vibe was laid back and relaxed, to match the dimly lit, dark wood decor. Our server was polite, and checked in several times. I ordered the pulled pork panini (say that five times fast!). The flavor was good, although the sandwich was only lukewarm, at best. My friends drinks were properly made and delicious. Good place to duck into for a moment of calm on a hectic day.
Layback, great townie bar with decent vittles. Got whisky? This place does. A nice mint julep and some pulled pork appetizers and dim light does the trick to keep it real. It takes me back to a college town place but with good drinks, nice pilsners and non-sticky table-tops…I know, it is no longer college but well, maybe that is the point.
Nice drinks and staff.. We were there on Saturday night with a larger group. The drinks were very good and we were glad that the old Brazen Bean is open again. The waitress was really nice and made sure that we were taken care of, even with a pretty full house. Best of all, she didn’t give us any grief for separate checks. (happens all the time in PDX) We will be back!
