Excellent happy hour (make sure you get there early as every seat fills up almost immediately). Cocktails are mixed well and the meats are prepared and flavored just as promised. If you miss the happy hour and are willing to pay for a true fine steakhouse experience, you can certainly enjoy the full menu, where I can highly recommend the oysters, ribeye, and prime rib. And if you somehow have room for more, the desserts are equally satisfactory.

This was my last dinner in PDX. This place is great, we started off with onion rings and they are a must try. They had a new appetizer on the menu pork belly and tried it. It was great, it came with compressed watermelon and pear. Next was the Caesar salad and that was good. Time for the main course, I get the same thing every time, filet mignon. The filet was awesome, nice and tender and great flavor. Got the baked potato with it, I think I ate all the bacon before the potato got to the table. My friend got the NY strip and swapped bites, filet won hands down. For desert I go the chocolate mouse, it had carmel corn and popcorn ice cream. The ambiance was nice and service was impeccable.

Ringside Rocks!. I am going to cut right to the heart of this review… Steak! If you have ever wanted that perfect meal, that meal that could be your last wish, well you found it!From the filet to the dry aged New York every steak they are all cut in-house and aged for at least 28 days. Any restaurant that puts this much effort into a steak can’t be wrong! My recommendation is go for the Bone-in Rib Eye Steak! 20 OZ of never ending goodness that makes me want to jump on a plane and get one tonight! Bone-in for that added flavor perfectly cooked and marbled for a flavor you only dream about….. Read my FULL review at TheFastReview.com!!

Friday 4/3/2015 Dinner. This was our first time at the Ringside and won’t be our last!Robert and the waitstaff were outstanding and very knowledgeable on the wine selection. Food preparation from salads to entrees were perfect. Also had to try the Keylime pie and Toffee for dessert. Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu here. The only regret was not trying the onion rings.Valet service is well attended and fast!

Prime meal and service with nostalgia. This was what nice restaurants used to be like before all the nouvelle cuisine nonsense. Back when a steak house was the prime cuisine.Having gone here for at least 35 years we still come back for classic favorites. We always start with a small order of fried onion rings, ample for two and probably the best served anywhere. Something that you would never bother cooking at home, even if you could duplicate the results. Our main meal is usually the outstanding prime rib, it just doesn’t get better than that.Tuxedoed professional servers put other restaurants to shame. You just wish some customers would have the manners to dress appropriately. To our neighbors in the next booth: don’t show up in Bermuda shorts. From salad to dessert everything here is excellent.05 Apr, 2012Welcome back. It has been several years since our last visit to the original Burnside Ringside. De Ja Vu and welcome back. They remodeled but we couldn’t tell. The menu remains as it has been all the 35 years we have been going to this and the second location.Decadent fried onion rings are the best anywhere and you must order these, but a small portion is plenty for two. Prime rib, small cut, is outstanding and ample. Salads are classic and not politically correct fragile little foreign lettuces. Iceberg or Caesar salads like you parents used to order are standard.Waiters in tuxedos who are well trained, efficient and don’t intrude add elegance to dining.

Very good steak. More reasonable than some of the other steakhouses in town and just as good if not better. Service was excellent. My steak was slightly undercooked which they asked to take back but I decided it wasn’t worth it. Good wine list too.

Disappointed. I have been long time patron of this establishment but I regrettably agree with the other posts. The food and service was o.k.. but for the price I have high expectations and this restaurant no longer meets what I think you should receive for $50-$100 per plate with drinks and gratuity.
