Some of the most interesting ice cream flavors I’ve ever seen. If there is a line…wait! So creamy and fresh. The sea salt caramel is hands down the best to try first. We also tried the chocolate and the pear and goat cheese. The latter is spicy! We tried two locations since it was so good!
Beware you are going to wait in the line but it’s gonna be worth it! Their Ice cream is amazing! Also their flavors too..it was so hard for me to decide so next day I came back again to taste other flavors 🙂 friendly staff great service and most important really good ice cream..
Great ice cream first and foremost. I went here with the family and we tested out some odd, yet great flavors of ice cream. At the end of the day we took 2 pints home. One was salted chocolate and potato chip, the other was cinnamon snicker doodle. Both fantastic.
This ice cream was delicious! It taste fresh and light. My favorite was the Oregon flavored with the fresh berries. They have different flavors. Not your common ice cream spot.
I asked a staffmember at the Convention Center where the best ice cream was, and she recommended Salt and Straw. And she was right, it was awesome. It wasn’t all that easy to get to. We took the light rail downtown, and then we walked several blocks, followed by a ride on the streetcar and another couple of blocks. Worth every ride. There was a huge line inside, but it moved pretty quickly and the young women behind the counter were moving through the line, asking folks what flavors they might like to try. I got a home made waffle cone with a scoop of Sea Salt and Caramel Ribbons and a scoop of Cinnamon Snickerdoodle. I could not finish it, but it was wonderful. We sat out on the bench outside the cafe and enjoyed our ice cream, and when we left about 20 minutes later, the line had tripled! Definitely give it a try.
To put it in perspective – I paid $150 to mail this ice cream to family in Nebraska over Christmas.Be prepared to wait 45 minutes… The wait is usually around the block.Cinnamon Snickerdoodle… Need I say more?
We always visit multiple times during our vacations in Portland. Amazing flavors, and friendly staff (shout out to Eric: you’re the best!). You cannot go wrong here!
