I love Serrato! Everything I tried has tasted great from the fries and burger to the risotto. My favorites though are the Caesar salad with those delicious croutons and the Kale salad. Yum!

Must have been an off night. Our four mains arrived at four different times. Ordered the fresh abalone that the waiter raved about-it was barely noticeable under the breaded coating and heavy sauce. We wanted to like this place as its been good in the past. Their corkage policy is a nice touch.

Phenomenal. Phenomenal. Phenomenal. Loved the Bolognese. Ambience was superb. Service was five stars.Might be my new favorite restaurant in PDX.

The atmosphere is fun, but not loud and refined without being stiff. The service was impeccable! I had the soup of the day, potato and leek pure garnished with white truffle oil — superb. It was followed by the squid ink fettuccine. This dish was inspired, but fell short on execution. The sauce was more acidic than a standard puttanesca, which brightened the substantial presence of the smoked sturgeon, but completely overpowered what should have been a delicate squid ink pasta. The pasta was well made, and I would have liked to have it in another sauce.Almost a 5! So close!

Dinner. Boar with paparadelle was very good especially the sauce. Mushroom risotto was excellent.

Terrible service, my wife and I made a reservation, they sat us down outside, we waited for 20 min and not a single person on the staff came over. We got up and left. What a disappointment.

Wild Boar / Wildly bored. Walked by this place on our way back from coffee one morning. Nice room, fresh linen and glassware. When we saw wild boar ragout on the menu, we made a reservation for that night.Valet parking was the only parking option in this neighborhood (even on Thursday night) but free with restaurant validation. The hostess in a full house met us with one word, reservations The greeting at the front door in any restaurant is a great indication of whats to come, and it was, lame.We lost our waitresses interest as soon as we posed a couple of questions, first about wine by the glass (What, no bottle) secondly about the presentation of a starter dish smoked trout tartine. A tartine is thought of as a open faced sandwich and without being able to picture it in my mind, I ordered it with bread on the side. Also placed order an for wine (by the glass) and two orders of the wild boar. It was the last time we would see our server, until, with all smiles, she would present the check. It was the bus boy from here on out.The tartine arrived, nothing more than mixed greens, cherry tomatoes sliced in half, long wide strips of cucumber (now making this a knife and fork salad) and about a tablespoon of trout all dressed with a flavorless mayo type dressing. Obviously they were hoping the diners satisfaction would come from bulk provided by the copious amount of bread, it didnt. When the Wild boar ragout arrived it lacked the rich and unctuous nature ragout implies, very little meat or sauce and certainly not the flavor expected by the boar. The addition of arugula, radish and hazelnuts were strictly filler and added nothing to the dish. It was lame. About half way through our entrees the wine was delivered by the busboy who was quite gracious. We paid the check, tipped the busboy and reflected. All the customers looked like conventioneers who are not known for their discretionary dinning habits, easily the reason the place was packed because it couldnt be for the food or service, and the not big enough check to waste my time service disinterest were recurring images and experience as our dinning disappoints continued in Portland.
