This is a spot that’s good to grab a drink or something while you’re walking around near the beach. It’s got interesting murals and decorations. The food is okay. I did get a lemon drop cocktail that was VERY tart, but on the whole, the drinks are good and the staff is great. The food isn’t bad, it’s just okay… There are other places nearby that have better, so I would be hard pressed to eat here.
We always enjoy the Deep End for lunch at the bar. Fish tacos are wonderful with the green salsa. They feature Pelican beers with a full range from clear beer to dark stout on tap. Had the panko fried seafood platter and fresh salad. Away from the bustle of downtown Nye Beach, it is a equal to Nana’s with a totally different vibe. We try to have the fruit cobblers, but usually too full. Indoor, porch and sunny table dining. Great staff happy when you are happy. Chill chilltravelers.com
I’ll be baaaack….. First visit was Valentine’s Day, their busiest night ever. What could have easily gone very badly was in fact one of my best dining experiences. The crab cake appetizers are easily the best I’ve had and the meal that followed was equally enjoyable. Being an even busier night than anyone expected, we collectively posed a rather formidable challenge for the wait staff and they met it with commendable grace and composure, I saw friendly smiles from each of them throughout their incredibly busy, non-stop night. I am truly anxious to go back and try the other menu choices.
Good food. Comfortable atmosphere. My better half and I have been going to the deep end for several months now and have always enjoyed it. In fact, we always take our out-of-town guests out to dinner here. The crab and shrimp Mac and Cheese is absolutely wonderful and their crab cakes and steamer clams never disappoint. If you’re looking for good seafood and a relaxed environment, give the deep end cafe a try.
Glad we tried the new cafe. All of us were very happy with our dinner choices. My hubby had the Fish and coleslaw and clam chowder. He really liked the fish and clam chowder; I tasted the clam chowder, I’d say as good as anywhere in town. Our friend had the Turkey Sandwich, plenty big and he took half home.The fries were also very good. I had the Salmon Sandwich with which I was delighted.
