Open air seating is lovely for a sunny day.We ordered sandwich, clam chowder and chicken tenders. The clam chowder was very good. Rest of the food came a little late and we were in hurry so we could not enjoy much. But we took a dessert , the Irish bread pudding to go for home. That was delicious. The best bread pudding I ever had. Rich with nuts with a hint of Irish whiskey.
The mushroom gravy is to die for, and the bangers are terrific!!! A must repeat in my book. If you’re ever in Newport, stop by and give it a try. I promise you won’t be disappointed.
Thanks for staying open late. Great atmosphere, food and service. Lived up to your reputation! Steak pie with perfect crust, and some of the best meatloaf we’ve ever had.
Lucky enough to find this place once, and got lucky enough to make a second trip from Astoria in less than a week. The place is cozy with just enough background pub noise to be pleasant but not interfere with conversation. Seriously the best Shepard’s Pie ever, I made a little happy face after each bite. Wash it down with a few pints and a walk on the beach and you’re all set. Also one of the better Reubens I’ve ever had, the cabbage instead of kraut is a great call and the mustard instead of 1000 Island made me nervous but it’s fantastic. My new favorite place in Newport.
Our family had such a great dinner and wonderful time at Nana’s that we had lunch there the next day as well. The food was really delicious (wow, do they make a great pastry crust) and the service was impeccable. I we will definitely visit again next time we’re in Newport.
I joined my work team for dinner at Nana’s. This is a nice, comfortable pub/restaurant in the Nye Beach area and they feature a good-sized menu with a mix of pub food and authentic Irish dishes. So I went as traditional as it gets, selecting the Corned Beef & Cabbage and a bottle of Smithwick’s red ale. My meal was perfectly done, tender beef, and tasty vegetables. Our server was friendly and efficient. The rest of our team seemed to enjoy their meals as well. Recommended.
Nice cozy place with good food, good beer and friendly service. One of those wonderful finds… A place to dig into some hearty fare on a rainy night or sit outside on a sunny day.
