Small hole in the wall. Their food was ok but over priced. Their service however is what will keep me from going back. The staff was more concerned with their own conversation than their customer service. They not only forgot to put our order in but anytime we needed something at the counter we had to wait for them to finish talking first.
Panini (Bakery). One of my last stops on a five-city tour brought me here, to Newport’s Panini Bakery. Walking in, I felt like I was back in Seattle, opening the door to a slightly more casual Bakery Nouveau. First, I took note of the tasteful design and layout of the shop. Second, there was the sweet cashier, who kindly took out scrumptious pastries and wrung me up at a rapid rate. Lastly were the aforementioned pastries themselves, whose richness and balance were so impossibly perfect. My favorite was the raspberry cream cheese danish, a delectable sweet made up of a slightly chewy yet still pull-apart exterior and a fresh fruit and cream interior. I can’t wait for my next trip to Newport. Aside from the beautiful views and charm of the city, I know an amazing bakery that I would have to frequent.Rating: 7.5/10 tasteperiod.blogspot.com
Got the salami and provolone sandwich. There was 1 super thin slice of salami on 1 side of sandwich and no cheese to speak of. However the bread was delicious. Nothing special about experience. Disappointed!
They know bread. This is the place to buy it in Newport. The seeded baguette is my favorite, just right for slicing thin with some fish treat plopped on.
Rude but good food. The employees are full of themselves and think they are such cool wanna be hippes. But man can they ever make a good pizza and sandwiches. So they can be rude to me as I order my awesome food I just won’t tip them.
The owner of Arr Place recommended that we try Panini for breakfast. This place is great! I had a tomato & parm brioche and my husband had a ham and cheese croissant. Both were fresh and delicious. I am not a fan of pastries in general, but these were really fantastic!
Panini is amazing have only been there once and it was amazing (: it was the best pizzia I have ever had. I advice everyone to go there.
