ORDINARY. Stopped in for breakfast. Other than a caution about the large scoops of whipped butter substitute (not really sure of its true chemical composition) that capped the pancakes, I have nothing favorable or unfavorable to say about this place. (The waiter was kind enough to bring me a bowl for the disposal of this substance – which I completed before snapping the underlying photo.) The Newport outlet is one in a small chain. (There are only about 6 of these on the west coast. I tried the one in Astoria many years ago and recall it being about the same as Newport quality-wise.) Basically, P&P is like Dennys, except that it has a more interesting name.
