Good breakfast fair. Nice location excellent view. Steph was pleasant. Juice was very freshly squeezed. Have mastered eggs over medium. Did I mention the view.
This charming, eclectic restaurant got rave reviews from some locals so we gave it a try for breakfast. We loved the view of harbor and the friendly, hard working staff. Our food had great flavor but the biscuits and gravy were cold. We would also have preferred to be able to refill our own drip coffee rather than order a large mug which cooled off quickly.
Meh. Forgettable. We were looking for a good spot for breakfast with great coffee. We’ll keep looking. The lattes are served in glass mugs, which immediately cool the drink to lukewarm at best. The coffee tasted watery and gray. I suppose it had caffeine in it, but it’s not good by any stretch of the imagination.I had the corned beef hash, and that was also a disappointment. The corned beef was real, and in big chunks, but it was bland and the hash was sitting in a pool of liquid, with none of the browning or carmelization that could have made it great. It had all the right ingredients, but not prepared well. We’ll try someplace else tomorrow.
Highly recommend! Nice stop for us to get off the road while riding up hwy 101. The portions are giant and overwhelming, even for my fianc and I who have extremely hearty appetites. Pancakes the size of a plate and omelets with an entire vegetable garden in them. Nice cozy view of the waterfront area while we ate.
Great food and awesome view!. Quaint little restaurant with home cooked food. Our new favorite place to eat in Newport!Great coffee too!
AWESOME!!!. Their pancakes are huge! My husband and I had the caramel mocha….best I’ve ever had! Their breakfast potatoes are yummy and scrambled eggs were cooked just right. I still can’t get over the size of that pancake lol. Excellent breakfast 🙂
The motel front desk told us about the Coffee House cafe. What a jewel in the gold chest of Newport. This is not your typical cafe, you stand in line, place your order the wait until they call your name. The food they serve to your seat is top notch. These people are chefs of the highest order. Anyone who walks in and sits down for a waitress has a long wait but stand in line under the Order Here sign and you will not be disappointed.
