Chowder was decent. Left a lot to be desired. Got the Cod Fish and Chips for lunch. Large portion, hot food, but not the best I’ve had. I’d say pass on this one.

Coming from SE Washington, we don’t get to the coast as often as we’d like, but when we’re in Lincoln city, we always stop at Maxwells for breakfast. My husband loves their razor clams and I usually have a seafood omelette; we’ve never been disappointed. This time, Daniel greeted us as we walked thru the door and seated is immediately. Our food was promptly served, piping hot. I asked to substitute pancakes for toast & hashbrowns, and there was no additional charge. I agree that it would be nice if they updated the decor, but the restaurant & restrooms appeared clean, and that’s what I really care about….that, and the good food. As an aside, sometimes we order Bloody Mary’s with our breakfast, and they’re good too. We’ll always come back to Maxwells.

Dinner. We visit Lincoln City once or twice a year and decided to stop in and eat at Maxwell’s. The decor was dark, dirty and very outdated. The food was mediocre at best. The portions were huge and price is fair. Our server was bubbly very friendly and quite knowledgable she was the highlight of the dinning experience . If your looking for large portions this is the place to come. If your looking for quality keep on driving

Mediocre at best. And it was freezing in there! I heard several complaints about the temperature. The server was nice though.

Frozen fish? I didn’t think to check reviews until after I ate there. Had Shrimp basket (frozen cocktail like at Long John Silvers?). Halibut n chips was ok and my daughters chicken strips were bland. They give you a lot of food but it’s not good enough to finish. Just this three dishes cost us $50+…. It’s 4 hours later and we have has an upset stomach for the last 3. Recommend going elsewhere as this is a tired mediocre cafe
