Soooo goood!!!!
Best Sausages in Portland. Best sausages and dogs in Portland, by far!! Tucked away between DC Vegetarian and a Thai cart, you could miss the small Beez Neez cart if you blink, but don’t be fooled by the exterior of the business because it definitely ranks up there with the big boys. These sausages are worth the price and larger than most dogs you get anywhere else, so those that complain about too pricey, get your mind away from a normal hot dog. These are not hot dogs and not normal hot dog sizes! The Polish and Kosher Beef dogs (if you want to call them dogs) are about a foot long and are grilled like in a backyard BBQ, not just boiled like you would expect from a small New York street dog or a Costco dog. On Tuesdays these 2 dogs are on lunch special and 2 for $6 late weekend nights til 3am. Worth every penny. The caramelized onions on a perfectly grilled sausage is absolute ecstasy. Try with cream cheese and you will be hooked. The buns are warm, slightly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The Alaskan Reindeer is amazing and not gamey. Tastes like a hot link (if you prefer the spicey reindeer version). They also offer a homemade Vegan sausage which tastes better than any Vegan sausage you can buy at a local grocery store. They also offer exotic sausages such as Boar, Elk, but these options change on a regular basis, so check often to find out which exotic he has for that week or weeks. The owner makes his own hot sauce, cracked pepper mayo and several homemade aioli sauces. All excellent! Bacon is also an option on the sausage. The options are endless. His sausages were also a national finalist on Food Network/Rachael Ray’s; The Search for the Best Hot Dog http://www.seriouseats.com/2011/02/americas-best-hot-dog-usa-west-coast-slideshow.html#show-65445
