Davis Street Tavern is one of those places I’m always up for going to, yet the food is always pretty average (not bad, just not up to the same standards of so many better Portland restaurants). But I really like the location and ambiance and always have a good time there. pateachew.wordpress.com
It’s very convenient to work on the same block as this place. I had the lamb burger and just ate the lamb and the fries, skipped the bun and whatever was on it. The lamb was tasty on its own. There was no need to dress it up.
Not impressed. Although the crab soup was good the tomato bisque was luke warm and unimpressive. No one there for Saturday lunch and talk about an univiting staff-no wonder. Won’t return.
