I have been doing a survey of Ramen places with my daughter and this was our first stop. The Pine Street Market is a fun, but loud and busy place. It is very family friendly and it is a great place for tourists to our lovely town to get a sense of our foodie culture in one small food court spot. The Ramen is really good and there are many offerings. Felt like I needed to go back a few times since different days sport different broths. Parking is challenging here but so far I have had good luck.
The Pine Street Market is home to some enjoyable dining options and to Marukin which is one of my favorites. I really like to sit at the counter and watch the chefs prepare each individual bowl of ramen with precision and artistry. The ramen option changes based on the day of the week. There is always a veggie option. Today I had the spicy red paitan ramen which is chicken stock based. It was delicious. We also tried the Gyoza which were good too. While I didn’t taste the Chef’s Donburi Special it looked great too.
