Very good latte. Strange business office type location and corridor to the rear. The wood bench was a good height as seating in many places appears very low. Lemon currant scone was good – nice flake, good crust, but a bit small for the price.
As always Barista is serving up great coffee. They make some of the best americanos around. Also great pastries for the non- vegans or so I am told.
Best coffee in Portland!
French press coffee on the go was a treat. Vanilla latte was the best I’ve ever had.
Stumptown roasters Montes De Oro (costa rica), Is possibly the best shot of espresso I have ever had!10 May, 2011Simply put – the best espresso in Portland! What a pleasant surprise to find a place that treats espresso as something to enjoy and savor, and not to be masked and drown in mass amounts of milk and syrup.
Espressos in the afternoon are a right in Italy and in Portland. The espresso drawn at Barista was at the right temp, with solid crema on top, and in the right size. A wonderful strong shot and of course it’s served in the proper vessel (read not cardboard).
I love Barista! Nice and cool vibe, with awesome espresso from Stumptown, 49th Parallel, and Intelli. Billy Wilson is so skilled. I like getting the Americanos and cappuccinos. Best in Portland.
