For the price, your portions of Mexican-Caribbean fare at Burrito Bar are abundant and generous here in the Pearl District of Portland. Engaging and attentive servers respond with sensitivity and dish out daily specials for you, with delicious styles to choose from, like nachos, tacos, burritos, enchiladas, and tostadas. Soft drinks and water are on tap, and bottled juices, beer and water are available. You can choose different kinds of fillings to eat, like rice, beans, and meats like spicy chicken, shredded beef, and pulled pork, sour cream, guacamole (free for vegetarians), freshly chopped vegetables, pineapple, mango chunks, salsas and piquant sauces. The concept is similar to Chipotle only better: It’s a more flexible and friendly atmosphere. Burrito Bar is light-filled and nicely decorated, and with clean facilities. Seating outside is possible with Wifi (password: burritobar). Located on the ground floor of Hoyt Apartments at 9th & Hoyt, very close (one short block) to PNCA, the bus and train stations, streetcars, and the Post Office with parking nearby. Catering and individual deliveries are very popular, as is a substantial covered food cart offsite at another location. They have a new Instagram page (burritobarpdx) and facebook and twitter pages as well. Hip and cool!
