My friend loved her vanilla and chocolate vegan cupcakes. The regular chocolate and chocolate chip cupcakes were above average. The cake was flavorful. The frosting had a tangy twist.
Downhill. I’ve been coming to Cucake Jones for 3 years. The first few times were wonderfully decadent. But as the years roll by, every time I come, it’s an even bigger disappointment. Altho the frosting is light, fluffy and flavorful, the cupcakes are extremely dry. Which also means, if you don’t eat it right then and there (with a big glass of milk, to help it down, due to the dryness) they do not last even to the next day. By then, it’s even drier and tastes disappointingly stale. I even tried microwaving it for 8 seconds (sometimes that will bring baked goods back) but even that couldn’t help it. I won’t be coming back anymore – will be trying Saint Cupcake, the next time I’m in town.
