Excellent happy hour spot! Paragon really shines in all domains – decor, ambience, food, and drinks. They make a mean grilled cheese on French bread that pairs beautifully with their tomato soup. The calamari is a great snack to split.
Only came for drinks but the ambiance and the service were both enjoyable. I had my usual red. It’s certainly a classier spot, walking distance to many things, as it is located in the Pearl.
Lunch was great and service perfect!!
I went on vacation to portland. We needed a place to dine. We were suggested to go to paragon by my gps. We arrived at the front door loved the outdoor patio very welcoming. The indoor was very big very clean and cozy look and feel. We were seated quick on a what looks to be a busier night without. Reservation. The waitress greeted us very quick and was very polite and very informative. She was able to answer all I needed to know about the menu. The menu was very clean, and simple. The selection of appetizers all to the desert was simple and easy to choose from. Each course had 3-4 items so it was not to confuse the customer. As each item came to the table it was in a timely manner and all the dishes were perfect cooked. The food itself was simple yet elegantly made nothing was over cooked or over seasoned. All in all I would definitely recommend all my friends and acquaintances to dine here. The overall I would say the service was A+ the atmosphere A- and the food A+.
Fresh Twists on Classic Dishes. I had a great experience at Paragon. Our server was very friendly, as most Portland servers are. Their menu is a fresh take on classic comfort food. I had their Gorgonzola Cheesecake, which was fantastic – a mix of subtle flavors that came together into a really well-rounded and satisfying finish. My boyfriend had their brussels sprouts dish and it was so good I copied it in my kitchen at home. The atmosphere was pleasant & the decor very attractive. Lots of light comes in through big, garage door-style windows.
A southern flair. I’ve had a couple of very nice meals at Paragon, but I wouldn’t say they were the best. If you’re feelin in the mood for a little southern fare, try it! It’s not like you’re going to be served anything less than yummy. It’s just, in my opinion, for the price, it doesn’t really match up in food quality, creativity, or execution to some of the smaller, more gourmet restaurants.
Mushy. Seared gnochhi was a pile of breaded mush. Barely edible. Spinach side was fine, but $5 for a mini-bowl. I wouldn’t really consider this a restaurant, but rather a bar that serves food – and gross food at that.
