Great meal getting the chef suggestions. Everything well made with great flavor and textures. Personally I wasn’t that fond of the anchovies and egg but it was well made. Loved the chickpea fries. Service was great with all of the staff helping and delivering. Great place we will be back.

Paid $200+ for Valentine’s Dinner. People were friendly but service was rushed. Cheap wine glasses and tables so close together you could hear everyone’s conversation Limited menu and food came out within 60 seconds of placing the order. Meat was lukewarm and dry. We will not return. Overall not a great experience for a special night. Will go back to Oba! next time. Never had a bad meal there and atmosphere is much better.

Great dining experience. Overall, I’d give this place the thumbs up. We shared a tasting menu of the small plates, and added lamb meatballs and salt cod fritters. While everything was pretty tasty and very well seasoned, I can’t say I loved all the dishes. The salt cod fritters were a disappointment, more potato than fish. The freekeh and the corn soup were amazing, the lamb meatballs, corn pasta with slow cooked pork and dessert were good, but I think I’d choose my own plates the next time around. The service is fantastic, the staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome and at home.

Innovative and delicious food. Went here for Portland Dining Month, thoroughly enjoyed the food. Chickpea fries were especially good. Enjoyable atmosphere, but kind of loud. Small dining area gives cozy feel, good decor and fast service.

Perfect meal. Excellent meal with such professional service. We opted for tasting menu and very happy with range of options. Steelhead and desserts were fabulous.

3 small plate option for $40 is a great option when eating alone. Chef choices were great!

YOU CAN DEFINITELY DO SO MUCH BETTER ELSEWHERE Very insolent maitre d and server, Eric, (the portly, short and bald man with a scar on his nose – just to give desc in case name is wrong). Should have left. Food was OK. Fresh but un-impressive in presentation & flavor.
