Good vibe. I ate here Friday afternoon and it was pleasantly busy and the bar had a good clientele. The shrimp in the seasonal pasta was quite amazing. The clams were really good and the fish in the fish tacos(my friend gave me a bite) was really good, as well. I look forward to putting the streetcar on my regular rotation.
Great addition to the Pearl. Checked this place out for their June 3 for $30 special and was completely blown away! First off the atmosphere is fantastic – chick, great set up, decor and friendliness are perfect. The staff was super friendly, talked about the menu, drinks and all the beers to choose from (try the Hibiscus Punch!) As far as the food goes we were expecting small appetizer, entree, and dessert. Instead we were graced with heaping platefuls of pure deliciousness! Cheeses, meets, bread and fruits to start. The baked mac n cheese was divine thanks to SO many cheeses and the apples added a tart yet sweet note to the dish. Bacon wrapped meatloaf – enough said! And the toffee cake alone is enough for a return!! Highly recommend and will be returning soon!
Streetcar Catering Success!. We used Streetcar Bistro to cater for our social event of about 30-50 people. Vito – the chef, was very positive that he could deliver a delicious menu – and what he produced was fantastic! The food was so delicious and everyone devoured it – many compliments were heard throughout the evening. Vito was there from the beginning of the evening to prepare the food and he very kindly went out of his way to help us set up our chairs and tables at the last minute. I would highly recommend Streetcar for an event – they are so friendly and willing to help – and the food tasted fantastic – the flavors were extraordinary and yummy. Thank you Streetcar for such a great evening!!!
AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE! I’ve heard so many positive comments about the Taproom to where on a Thursday night my fianc and I drove all the way from Camas, WA. We entered and were greeted by the hostess who said she was full but a table should open soon. We were the only ones waiting and decided to go up to the bar and see if anyone was wrapping up, in which a nice couple offered they’re spot. So we kindly waited on the far end of the bar. When they started getting up we walked towards their seats and they greet us the bartender walks up and says sorry these people have been waiting (a couple I distinctly remember coming in far after us). I nicely respond we’ve been waiting too and they offered us their seats and the bartender rudely denies us and repeats herself. Unfortunately the hostess was not around to help our case do we left. I really wish we would’ve had the chance to try this place because we drove so far.
An awesome addition to the Pearl!!. Oh. My. WORD. I was at the Streetcar last night (a friday night) with a friend, just to sit and catch up and see what this place is about, and I’m telling you- we were not disappointed and will definitely be back, as often as possible. We got there just in time for HH (10pm) and ordered a couple of cocktails, the baked mac and cheese, and the fries. We were both blown away by both of the cocktails (we ordered the Hana Hou Margarita and the Jasmo) as well as both food items- we really thought we were ordering pretty basic feel good food, but boy were we surprised! This is how they describe the baked mac and cheese: Parmesan, mozzarella, Tillamook sharp cheddar, Crater Lake bleu cheese, herbed breadcrumbs, roasted apple slaw. I just call it amazing! And I honestly don’t know if it was the fries or the locally made ketchup that was so freaking good, but they were honestly the best fries I’ve ever tasted. EVER. And after reading the other reviews, I’m definitely going back for dinner sometime soon!! And yes, I believe that the service will speed up as the staff gets used to everything- by all the means, I didn’t feel that the wait was overly long, and once we got our drinks and then the food, it was soooo worth it!!! The atmosphere was perfect for what we wanted, and what we expected in the Pearl: super classy with a touch of Pacific NW rustic. It was gorgeous, there was even a loungy area with a fireplace and couches by the front window and I’m sure that would be a super fun spot to hang out with a few friends or a date on a cold fall night. There is also comfortable outdoor seating. The bar seats are seriously the most luxurious, comfortable seats I’ve ever sat at in a bar- I usually hate sitting at the bar because I get uncomfortable, but these were so cush I could have sat there all night! Having said all that, I am NOT a girl who generally feels comfortable in a higher end feeling place, but the Streetcar was the perfect mix of casual and classy and I think a good mix of people could come here and have a good time. If you’re looking for a great place to sit down and have an amazing meal and drinks, without feeling stuffy or intimidated, and want a place you can laugh and talk with your friends or date, this is a really, really great choice!!!
