Never again…. I thought the service was bad, and then they brought the food. One entree was still frozen, msybe they expect me to bring a microwave. We will not be back.
Salem/Dallas Hwy. .I have eaten at Rock-N-Rogers, since the original on Broadway opened, Great Food for the price. They by far had the best food and service. There was a other one on Broadway and it had pretty good service and food. The one on Market, has black and white vinyl flooring and I do not know just how many times someone all but fell as the floor always seemed greasy, service & food not bad, but we stopped going due to the flooring. Then there is Commercial…Service slow, food quality not as good. Now the one that was on Edgewater & Wallace Rd, service and food not bad. Last but not least, Salem/Dallas Freeway. The service is good, the servers are friendly, Eloa Inn in a really old establishment, not really modern, but the view is beautiful from almost anywhere at the restaurant. This restaurant has by far the best food and service I would rank it High. Give it a try and see it as it is, an older building, but great food and employees.
Rock-N-Rogers @ Eola Inn. We’ve been at the Eola Inn Rockin Rogers twice now and it will most definitely be our last. Very disappointed because the building and the view is very cool. Past restaurants there have always had good food and great service but now, everything is always a mess there. The waiter/waitress’ don’t have a clue what’s going on or know how to handle orders. I had to call my waiter over every time when something was wrong or needed. The first time, we were 1 of 3 tables and our food was served cold. There was absolutely no reason for that and when we said something because my daughter would not eat her cold eggs, they just shrugged their shoulders. Didn’t even apologize. The second time we went back only because we had hoped since it was recently opened the first time we had gone, that they just didnt have their $hit together. So we went back, maybe 4 days ago, and the service was even worse. They took my order, yet served me a dish that was smaller/cheaper than what I had ordered which was fine except they still charged me the more expensive price. That was kind of irritating. Our drinks were never refilled, not even our water. They never came to see how anything was. We had to find our own silverware because they did not give us enough. The roast beef was absolutely gross. It even smelled bad. You could tell they had microwaved to defrost too! Just all around absolutely poor quality of food & lack of service. Being a person who is experienced in the food industry, and holding experience in the past as a waitress, along with my husband who had many years of cooking in restaurants (EOLA INN being one of them!) we were very, very disappointed with the whole experience. Not to mention, having to wait 20+ minutes after we had finished to receive our check. Along with another 15+ standing at the counter to pay it. I had 3 people walk right by me each time and didnt even care to ask. Do they not care if customers pay? They sure dont care about getting a tip!
LOVE THIS PLACE.. We were looking for a new restaurant to try and as we were driving to our meeting we saw Rock-n-Rogers so we decided to stop and try it. We were so glad we did!!! The food was excellecent. The hamburgers were huge and just perfect. French Fries were great. Loved their large onion rings. My son had a chili size and he loved it. We will be back again.. We will try it for breakfast next time! Loved the view if the river and everyone was so friendly. I have been recommending this place to everyone.
My daughters and I decided to try this place out tot lunch. We were greeted and sat right away but it was at least 15 minutes before the waitress came to take our order. No one came back to us to check on us the entire time we were there. No water refills or anything. We had to go to the waitress to get our bill. Probably will never be Back
Did we all go to the same place?. We go here all the time. Love the staff. Service and food always good. I hate hate hate soggy fries and never had them here. Once they gave us generous samples of their several different kinds of fries and all were perfection. Building has seen better days, but so what? The view is so worth it.
Whos taking, really?. Rockin-Rogers opened abruptly in December at the Eolla Inn. I have to admit my first visit, was not what i had hoped for. The food and service needed work, or perhaps just some patients. However, in recent months everything has improved. Foods hot, service is amazing by far the best in town as far as I am concerned. I am compelled to write this because I had wrote them off throwing my hands into the air a time or two, but knowing that a new owner recently took them over and opening a new location, had to expose what was ugly and what was the truth. Apperantly it had. Our last visit, (Wife, daughter, her hubby and three grandkids)showed us that they have what it takes to honor a family. The food was hot, service superb. This is an anonymous site so I have to wonder who might be paying who to write these reviews since everything was delightful, since our first two visits, first december, second january 2012.. I have nothing to gain from writing this. It stricks me odd that some peope get so uptight over the littlest things and not see the biggeer picture…….gravel pit………hey its jobs in Oregon, someone is working, the highway, Rock n Rogers opened up a drive so you can see around the bend on hwy 22. This site has allowed me to see that some see the glass half empty instead of half fulll. Perhaps you would rather see your money going overseas instead of our community. Rock n Rogers is amazing and I hope generations to come get to experience this traditon,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
