Let them eat cake…..So cheesecake in a box! Havent had this before. Oh because thats not how its supposed to be served. Make the best of a situation and at least place to-go items in appropriate containers. If you have to ask, is this appropriate then your work as a chef is already in question. So with little options for food I took the chance at this establishment. I ordered the Water burg(hamburger) sandwich and it was undercooked. I literally had just read an article in about undercooked beef causing serious health problems. So round two, burger back and new fries. Burger cooked correctly and had ok flavor. Bacon on top was decent and the spice peppers were a good touch. Unfortunately one piece of gristle, stoped the finishing of this meal. Just me? I think the martinis were the highlight here so if you have time to catch an Uber or Lyft to a different restaurant, I highly recommend that.
Great service, excellent dinner, exceptionally convenient. Had the crab cakes and a French cut ribeye. Crab cakes were prepared perfectly, and the ribeye was seasoned to perfection and cooked to the exact temperature as ordered. Wine list is weak for the area, but if you’re at the hotel this is an easy putt after a long day.
The service was below par. It took them 10 minutes to find menus for our table of 4. It also took quite awhile for the food to come out and the resturant wasn’t near full. The food was below par for the price. The steaks we had were so fatty that we lost half the size and Totally undercooked for med rare! I Had to send it back and then it came back over cooked. Flavor wasn’t good either. The butter that came with the bread basket (that we had to request because it wasn’t automatically given to us) was rock hard and not spreadable. I would never go back!
Good menu choices for a hotel restaurant and the service is impeccable. A little skimpy on Willamette Valley Pinots with the wine country being so close but okay selections available by bottle and glass. Tri tip steak is flavorful, as was the sea bass. The Marionberry cobbler is quite good and a perfect cap off to the meal. Overall the ambiance of the water features allow you to forget you are in the middle of a hotel and the convenience for hotel guests can’t be beaten.
Located inside of the Embassy Suites Hotel, Water’s Grill scores high in atmosphere. The open atrium restaurant is encompassed by an impressive water feature. The menu is adequate, perhaps even slightly above par for a hotel restaurant, though it is somewhat pricey. A typical entree will tip the scales somewhere north of thirty dollars. When paired together with your favorite appetizer and drink, one could expect to be in the forty to fifty dollars per head price range. All in all, Water’s Grill is a good choice if price is not the first consideration. The house speciality is the Wild Chinook Salmon.
