Best Brat I have had in PDX.
Good brat, bad service. While the brat is damn tasty, the service will keep me from returning. The guy cooking was forgetful and slow and the woman with the thick accent was cold and short with us. Won’t return but we did find out their brats can be purchased at some local grocers….that will be our option!

Food was ok.. Food is ok…the people working there could be nicer. Overall it was an ok experience. Took a long time to get food, sort of expensive.
Very good. I was introduced to this product at my place of employment, the owner sells his bratwurst there every week and they’re very good although he can stop giving us his sale talk – we like the sausage already, enough!My fiance and I have also eaten at the food truck a few times late at night and it’s nice to see something open after a night of imbibing and dancing. She always remembers us and what we order and we don’t go very often, nice touch. 🙂
The BEST late night eats!. This is the one that started the trend in downtown Portland for late night eats. This couple has been working in all weather for years, offering the best and freshest sausage available. Many a night my friends and I have come out of a pub or club and stumbled our way to 2nd street – sometimes all the way from NW 23rd, to sate our craving – mine being the garlic brat with kraut and kase.
Best of the Wurst!. Altengartz German Bratwurst is locally made using a family recipe and all natural ingredients. No additives, no preservatives, just locally raised pork and spices. Bratwurst is grilled fresh and served on a toasted roll. Single – 1 sausage $4Double – 2 sausages on a roll- $6Breakfast Brat – with scramble egg and cheese $5.50Garlic Brat- choice of onion or kraut w/fresh garlic $5Veggie Brat – patty made with chick peas and bratwurst seasoning. Grilled with choice of kraut or onion. $4Burger – 1/3# patty w/lettuce and tomato $5Toppings for brats and burgers – Caramelized onion, grilled sauerkraut, cheddar cheese, garlic or scrambledegg. 50 cents per topping.
