I discovered them. I’m glad. How glad you ask? They will be my last meal on my death bed!!!They are the kindest people serving up the best Indian food in Portland!!!
Would not go anywhere else. It tastes like authentic Indian food. I’d say it’s the best in the city.I loved the sign on there cart (see attached photo). I asked them, what is their goal, what do they want us to take away from there? the guy working there said, he wants us to taste food and remember it for a long time. He wants everyone to say, it was affordable. I laughed, and replied, he needs a new goal, as this is already achived.Generous portions, amazing taste, and the kindest family around.
This is the best Indian food I savored!11 years of searching and we find the hidden gem right here in Portland! Harvy, his wife, and his daughter (Diya) run the shop!!!! Harvey is a great individual. I can tell he loves everyone. He was very patient as we (my wife) took our time ordering. Harvy gave great recommendations.Diya was super funny and played with my daughter. She is so cute.Harvy’s wife cooks the best food, could not have had better food. You have to check them out.Pros: Great food, friendly service, and funny/cute/amazing daughter.Cons: They are 45 mins away from me. I can’t eat there daily.
this non-vegetarian was very well-pleased with the food and service. and the price was right. the only drawback is that the food cart area is really a mess, with lots of trash and random furniture pieces lying around everywhere. I hope this isn’t a reflection of their cleanliness inside!
Horrible food. Tasteless food. Worst Indian food I have ever had.
Great!. The 5 dollar lunch special is the way to go, 4 different dishes, with rice and naan. And I always have left overs. Their samosas are delicious, along with their mint and tamarind chutneys
Best aloo saag in PDX. This staple Portland food cart has undergone a change of management (understatement of the century) within the last 6 months, but all I can say is prior to that it was HANDS DOWN the best Indian food in the entire Portland area. Seriously, the one food I feel comfortable in saying could cure just about any ailment; the aloo saag from India Chaat House. Unfortunately, I really can’t vouch for the quality of the food since late winter of 2009.
