The food was way over priced and they said it was aged black Angus but they don’t know what that means. The waiters have no personality it’s loud in there. I don’t mind paying 400.00 for 4 of us if you have a good time. Please do not eat here you will be disappointed like us. We will never go back.
This has definitely been one of the best places that I have ever eaten at. The ambience is great, the service is amazing, and every type of food there is incredible. If you go there, you should definitely try the steak!
I’ve been to El Gaucho many times but this particular time was absolutely amazing. The Caesar salad made table side was the best salad I think I’ve ever eaten. Also, the roasted corn was to die for. And last but not least, the steak is simply the best in town. The prices are pretty steep so it’s definitely not anywhere I go often but for a special occasion or a nice night out it absolutely is a must see.
We went here for a friends birthday. I started off with the clams and they was very good. My main dish was a filet and it was so tender and loved the flavor of it. This is a good place to eat but just remember it is a little pricey but worth it.
Great food and service! First, have the Spider-Man cocktail! It looks like a very girly sweet drink but it’s the perfect amount of sweet and tart, coming from a girl that’s not a sweet fan. Wicked shrimp are wicked good. The bread is delicious, not your typical hold you over til entrees arrive course. Best oysters Rockefeller I’ve ever had, and again not something I usually eat. Salad 410 was the perfect amount to compliment my medium rare filet that could have been cut with my fork! I also tried the lobster bisque, and scalloped potatoes my husband ordered, all was great. One of the highest priced menus I’ve seen anywhere, but it didn’t disappoint.
Great service. Steaks are very good but frankly overpriced. Share the sides, two is enough for four.Very fine wine list and knowledgeable staff. But bring your own and pay the corkage.
Decent food but overall very disappointing. I made our reservation over a week in advance so it was not a last minute booking. When we got there we were seated back in the wine room even though it appeared that there were lots of open tables in the main dining room when we walked in. The room had harsh lighting, no ambiance or character, it felt like someone’s basement with no windows. Our hotel room at Hotel Lucia would have been a more pleasant room to eat dinner in. Not to mention at the table next to us there was a yelling child, not exactly how I plan to spend an upscale dinner. At that point I considered leaving but my husband wanted to stay as we were having a date night and didnt know where else we could get a table last minute. We were the last ones to be seated in the room so we ended our meal the last 45 minutes sitting in a silent empty room. That was until the staff decided they wanted to turn the room over. Several of the wait staff started clearing tables, moving them around and getting the room ready for a large party of 15 that supposedly was coming in. At one point my husband went to the bathroom and I was sitting there alone in complete silence. What appeared to be a manager walked in speaking very loudly to the staff who he was explaining what to do to turn the room over and didnt even see me sitting there trying to finish my meal. Once he noticed me and realized his mistake he told all of the staff to clear the room to allow us to finish our meal like he was doing us a favor. At that point we opted to forego any dessert or the fruit and cheese tray because we did not feel comfortable sitting there anymore and seemed as though they just wanted us out of there. I was very tempted to leave a poor tip but didnt want to penalize our waiter as he was not responsible for our table or the rest of the staff. This was not the level of service I expected and experienced during our previous visits to El Gaucho.
