I had eaten at Morton’s all over this country, but until tonight I had never eaten at my local edition of this steakhouse. So many Portlanders get caught up with the Ringside, PCG, El Gacho, crowd. All of those are great choices which I have dined at >100 times, but I gotta tell you that my experience at Morton’s tonight makes me believe that Morton’s is Portland’s best steakhouse.Marc gave us 5 star service and was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu.The 8 oz filet was cooked perfectly. The horseradish potatoes along with the asparagus made my wife talk about dinner the entire way home. The apple crisp was easily the best I have ever had.Because their location is off the normal downtown restaurant track, people forget about this place. Don’t. Portland is lucky to have a Morton’s. Grew up in Nebraska, so I know a few things about steak!
