Worst Persian ever!. Amazing hummus and warm bread! That’s where the goodness ended. My Lamb was awful and my husband’s lemon chicken was basically a frozen breast with artificial lemon juice squirted on top. Even the rice was horrible! The service was friendly until we sent back the chicken. Waitress became VERY defensive and rude …we had to apologize to her for sending the sub par food back and didn’t bother choosing something else. We were still charged for the food that was sent back and the owner came out to argue with us! Reluctantly she took the item off our bill but was not kind about it. Frustrating and very dissatisfied. We left hungry and out some money. Never again! !

Food was So, So Service was SLOW. Very, very, very slow service. I ordered the Seafood Paella and was told it would take extra time and that was fine, but we sat there for 30 minutes before our appetizer was brought to the table, another 10 minutes before our wine was brought to the table, and then when we got our food, it was only OK, the seafood paella was kind of bland, the other dishes around our table were also just OK. OK would have been fine if the service hadn’t been so slow. Very nice ladies serving, but we were there for 3 hours. I won’t go back.

Delighfully Authentic! Feels like home.. Last night was the second time I’ve been fortunate to dine at Persian House. Last year I went by myself, this time I was with my daughter. Everything on the menu is delicious and fragrant. The food is not only a delight to the tastebuds, it even looks beautiful in the way it is carefully and artistically laid out on the plates. The family who owns this restaurant obviously goes out of their way to prepare and serve excellent food. Each time I was there, I was treated as an honored guest. I felt right at home.

Vegan Friendly!. I really enjoyed my dinning experience at the Persian House Restaurant last month. The staff was friendly and we feel like being in a traditional Persian restaurant. The food is delicious and HEALTHY… All vegetables are 100% organic and the quality is there. The food takes time to be ready when it’s busy but it’s worth it. I’m sure you’re going to find something that you like in the 50 different kind of Entrees they’re offering!

Poor excuse for Persian food. Rice was undercooked, stews were not typical Persian, chicken leg was dry. If This was my first taste of Persian food, I wouldn’t eat it again. However Persian food is great if prepared correctly, which this food was not! Very disappointed.

Great food. We had a late night dinner last night. The chicken with pomegranate sauce was perfectly cooked and the saffron rice was a perfect accompaniment. The wine list is not all that well developed but not surprising. We noticed that many of their patrons were Muslim and so didd not order alcohol. I will return to try their kebabs.

Great lunch buffet. I have only been to the Persian House for lunch, but each time I go it’s great! It’s one of the few places right in downtown that is open for lunch on the weekends. The buffet is varied and tasty, the waitstaff is exceptional, and the ambiance is very cozy, relaxed and pleasant. I even enjoy eating there alone. It’s great to sit by the window on a drizzly Portland day and watch people walking by while I eat yummy Persian food and sip hot tea.
