We live downtown, were out shopping and wanted dinner. Looked on Open Table and found that Red Star had tables every 15 minutes. We were half a block away so just walked right over. Restaurant was all but empty but we were told that there was no availability and we could eat in the bar. I respectfully expressed surprise given openings on Open Table and stood there and made a reservation right then and there. We were surprised by the rudeness displayed especially by the hostess, and hurt that someone, especially at a business, would treat others with such rudeness and dismissiveness. We walked over to Jake’s Grill and spent $200 on dinner and a bottle of wine and tipped our customary 25%. We will never return to Red Star again.
