This downtown Portland seafood restaurant has a few items on its menu that you must try! However, I didnt particularly like how my party was treated immediately… seated in the very back in a corner… not greeted with warmth etc! But my waiter (forgot his name) made up for it. I had an amazing fabulous dinner! YOU MUST TRY the CLAM CHOWDER!!!!! It had oysters, bacon, and homemade dumplings to die for. I also selected the whole Oregon Dungeness crab for my entree. Everything was super good.
The 9th Street Manhattan was exceptionally good and a great start to a lovely meal. The server told me the Manhattan was made with Taylor’s Bourbon infused with fig. We shared several different entrees including clam chowder with fresh clams, bacon and house made gnocchi, Brussels Sprouts with peanuts and cilantro, scallop tortellini with lemon and black garlic and Porchetta with corona beans and leaks. My favorites were the clam chowder and the Brussels Sprouts both which were unique tasty options. Our server was also great. The dining experience reconfirmed why I like to visit Southpark.
