Ugh.. Just ate the ramen. This was terrible. I got the #6 – tonkatsu broth, bbq pork (they were out of the char siu I would’ve preferred). I’m not sure what the flavor is in here that’s fishy but it’s really gross (and, really, I love seafood but this was something else). The noodles were just eh. The broth was just eh. I couldn’t eat the bbq pork. And the price, for the quality, was too high.I won’t be back. Next time I’ll go to Biwa when I’m craving an excellent bowl of ramen.

Reliable food, friendly service. It’s a little pricey for what you get when vegetarian bowls approach $9. They need to work on making spicy broth. Several times I’ve asked for spice an gotten something that isn’t hot at all. The furniture is spartan and there are no extra napkins to be found. But despite these gripes, I keep going back because the food is tasty, and there’s nothing else quite like it downtown (except maybe Shigezo, which has higher prices and bad service).

This is NOT fast food! Very busy at lunch.

Not authentic, but pretty good nonetheless. Topping choice is nice. If you’re a fan of nori, do a double order of that. Tofu was better than the pork, poached egg was lukewarm. Miso broth is nice, order down on the spicy level (medium was pretty damn hot). The bean sprouts and bok choy were great. Yummy. Also, getting the meal was worth it, gyozas are good.

Super friendly service, great prices, and really good food! A nice place for a bite before a show at Keller!
