Not a good experience. We ate here twice. Both times incredibly bad food. Limp chips, bland salsa, greasy enchiladas, and more. Once could be a mistake so we went back to try again. It wasn’t pretty.
Mediocre at best.. It was about what I expected going into it.The tortilla chips looked and tasted like theywere from a bag. They did have a salsa bar,perhaps a step up from baja fresh, but barely.I had the Chile Verde, the pork was fairly tender,but with all the ingredients in the dish, I found itto be disappointingly bland, I had to dress it upmyself with Chalula and salt. (Yay for Chalula!)A couple of the ladies ordered Camarones Monterey,(Bacon wrapped shrimp with cheese,)which they seemed pleased. One who lives nearbyorders this every time she visits.The waiter initially refused to split the tabs but laterhe did, it put a confusing and awkward finish to our meal.
Easy, fast Mexican food. Azteca is one of our standard places. In the past we have ordered a variety of items, some good, some disappointing. However we both found we prefer the Carne Asada and rarely order anything different these days. The service is generally. The food comes quickly on very hot plates and is plentiful.
Better than expected. Good flavor.. About twenty years ago I ate at a restaurant in California by the same name. I don’t know if they are part of the same chain, but I have avoided them in the past.My BF finally took me there and I was very pleasantly surprised. The final bill for our lunch was under $15. The service was excellent and the food was great, very flavorful.I would recommend this restaurant!
