Stopped in Terrobonne at the Crescent Moon Ranch, had a lovely chat with the owner, and upon leaving (dinner hour), she asked which direction we were headed, and when we said South, she said we had to eat at Diego’s, and order their signature dish, the Pork Osso Bucco! So we did!We arrived at the beginning of dinner hour on a Saturday evening, and were lucky to be promptly seated (a line formed quickly). We were seated near the front door (and bar), so our time there was pretty noisy. House-Made chips, which were delicious, were served with a medium hot salsa, which was a little too hot , se we ordered a side of guacamole that was was perfect. We ordered side salads which were just OK, and which it turned out we didn’t need, given the size of our main dishes. Of course we ordered the Pork Occo Busso, a slow-cooked piece of pork, served on the bone, cooked with mushrooms in a dark sauce over creamy mashed potatoes. Oohs and Ahhs with every bite – in a word, DELICIOUS!!! We also ordered the Pollo en Mole Verde, chicken breast served in a mild green sauce, with moist green rice and beans. A great dinner experience.
A fun little place that has more to offer than it appears from the outside. The menu is huge – a section of Mexican dishes and another section that is more American/Italian. Chips and salsa are served to all tables. The tableside-made guacamole is really good. I had a smothered burrito and it was delicious.
Best pork carnitas! Anytime we come to Bend, or Redmond, we visit Diego’s. The fresh guacamole (that they prepare at your table) is delicious also. They also make tasty drinks and they are reasonably priced. My most recent favorite was the blackberry mojito.
The flavors here were uniquely good. This is an interesting restaurant( in a good way ), having a half Mexican, half Italian menu. Maybe mostly Mexican though. The service was also good. I will be back, if in Redmond again.
One good–the other—-. My wife and I stopped in here on a lunchtime stint and I got the reward winning meal with the homemade soup and she got cold cuts—-Nice atmosphere and great staff—
Great food, service, and atmosphere! Very flavorful prepared food. Definitely recommend. Crab tacos were delicious with lots of crab. Mojitos were yummy too.
Great spot! Ate there while on vaction. Good prices, wonderfull wine and drink selection, very friendly staff. Very busy, but didn’t wait to long for our order, and the food was very tasty. Would come back.
