We love Oishi, the service is always excellent, they have a complete menu but will make special sushi if one asks and the ingredients are available. Everything is so fresh, the restaurant is so clean, service is impeccable! We have eaten here several time in the last 2 years and it is always an excellent experience!
Right in the heart of Downtown Redmond, Oishi occupies one of the busiest corners. I have been here a few times now for lunch and dinner. Everything has been good, and some items are better than others. For example, the BombBomb appetizer or small plate is essentially a giant rice snow ball surrounding spicy tuna and accompanied with a sauce. It’s great to share, but one of those dishes that if you eat alone, you’ll swear you never want rice again. The rolls are creative and fresh. Many of the rolls I would even call creamy in texture since the fish is so soft. A bento box is offered as a lunch special and many foods are available to select from. For a twist, try the Japanese Iced Tea, which is a green tea spin on Thai Iced Tea.
Terrific!. From the low key sophistication of the decor to the service, this is an experience you can enjoy in your jeans or as a dress up date. The food is WONDERFUL! The edamame with chili and garlic takes pod sucking to a whole new level of fabulous. The sushi is fresh, light, and yummy, the tempura was the lightest and least greasy I have ever had. We are lucky to have a place of this caliber in Redmond! Look out Bend, there’s a new sheriff in town…and the town is Redmond.
Great restaurant!. Great food! Great staff! Nice atmosphere and good prices for quality of food. I am a picky sushi eater and I think this restaurant far surpasses any of the sushi restaurants in Bend.
So glad Oishi is in Redmond!. Four of us had dinner at Oishi to celebrate a friends birthday. The food was really good, the staff friendly, the atmosphere lovely and it was reasonably priced. I had called ahead for reservations and told them it was for a birthday and they brought the birthday guest an ice cream and sang Happy Birthday. I am so glad to have a good sushi restaurant here in Redmond! I plan to go visit again soon.
Nice atmosphere. Just moved to Redmond and wanted to try this out. Prices are not too high for Japanese. Had a nice table by the window and also had a view of the indoor wall waterfall. I had a lunch combo consisting of miso (thermally hot) about a 5 piece shrimp tempura, green salad, cucumber salad, deep fried pork, steamed rice and thick dipping sauce. I’m going back for dinner. The Sapporo draft was $4.50 and next time I’ll have a local (mirror pond) beer.
