Ate here for years… Moved to the Midwest and haven’t found anything even close to this place! Came for a visit and had to eat here… food was as good as ever and I know I’ll miss it again!!! Love love the food here 🙂
Alright you go here and order the Szechuan chicken. No ifs ands or buts the most tender chicken you will ever have mixed with broccoli and green peppers layered with Szechuan sauce. you can add pan fried noodles to make it one of the beat meals around.
When you feel like chinese food, Lee’s does the job. Creamy chowmein, flavorful fried rice, crisp egg fu yung with excelent gravy. The vegis are always great.
When You Walk Through the Garden…. Whats we have here is an old school american Chinese joint. Excellent Egg Drop Soup with little chunks of Celery and Water Chestnuts to mix the texture up a bit. I wasnt too blown away by the Pork Fried Rice though, not that it was bad, it just wasnt anything special. More impressive was the Sweet and Sour Pork. These guys dont bother using the red dye in the Sauce so dont be surprised by its lack of Technicolor. Anyhow, a pretty decent meal. Certainly cheap enough, with service both pleasant and efficient. Probably doesnt win any awards, but also doesnt ruin your stomach. Gresham should be glad to have them.Grade: Just Fine drexlermcstyles.tumblr.com
Basic Goodness. For good basic food go here. Friendly wait staff and low prices. You will leave satisfied.
Chinese as it should be!. To put it quite simply… the chinese food served at Lee’s is as it should be. 1) Excellent chinese cuisine, 2) Very reasonable prices and 3) Always a friendly face awaits once inside. I’m a big fan of the chinese combo’s that are offered and mine being the four entree combo: shrimp; golden, nicely fried, descent size/portion and very tastey! sweet & sour chicken; very tender with a nice lite batter and S&S sauce. BBQ’d pork; always a hit, very moist & tender pieces served. and last, but not least… pork fried rice; this is one of my many faves served here, very moist, seasoned nicely with pieces of tender pork.(no need to add soy sauce to this well done classic.) I feel I’m very fortunate do to the fact I live within 5 to10 mins drive time of Lee’s.
I’ll keep this simple, Lee’s Garden is the best chinese food in the Portland area, period. Prices are great too. A must try. Nothing fancy, just good food.
