Good Bahn Mi and Iced Coffee. Well not the best I’ve ever had, my sandwich hit the spot and was on fresh bread. Lots of well seasoned pork and veggies. Topped it off with one of the best iced coffees I’ve ever had. I would definitely come back here. Friendly staff and fast service.

Communication Breakdown. It says ‘Vietnamese Food’ on the face of the cart. Yet, you will not find the terms Pho or Bahn Mi anywhere on the menu. Everything is laid out in English only, which makes things easier for all involved I suppose. I ordered the ‘chicken noodle soup’ which I assumed was code for Pho Ga. I also ordered Nem rolls, which I was told by the lady in the window was a grilled spring roll. Anyhow, I carried my bundle home through the drizzle and then, once inside, cracked the lid on things. Ironically, my Nem rolls (the one item on the menu with a Vietnamese name) turned out to be spring rolls.. with grilled pork sausage in them. There was no description on the menu of what was in them, and while they were actually quite good, it wasnt exactly what I had been shooting for. Still, Ill mark that up as being my own fault for not being a little clearer in my questioning. Which brings us to my soup. I eat quite a bit of pho, and as pho goes, this bowl was pretty mediocre. Bean sprouts and a little scallions and maybe cilantro (?) was about the extent of it. The broth was in need of help and so I added a spoon of sambal for flavor and kick. The chicken had been boiled to the point of death, though the pieces were of good quality and there was a generous amount of it. On a chilly day, when I was in the mood for something healthy and hot, this got the job done (though the pork sausage kind of negated the whole ‘healthy’ thing’). But thats about it. Grade: C (they might want to add a description to the nem roll, for dummies like me) drexlermcstyles.tumblr.com
