At $3 each, these are a great economical lunch! Tasty too.16 Jul, 2012I’m hooked………………. On the Banh Mi (Vietnamese Sandwiches) here. The thing is, you’ve got to get there early to score one. I’ve been too late the last couple of times I’ve tried. I was early enough today. Hehehe. I took it to Salem’s picturesque Waterfront Park and enjoyed it by the Willamette River. It was beautiful. Not a power boat or jet-ski to be seen or heard.I asked the counter guy what time of day they usually run out. He says if a construction crew comes in, it can be early. I’m going to call before driving in the future as I live across town. The drive’s worth it if they’ve got ’em but disappointing if they don’t.30 Jun, 2012Now serving Bahn Mi (Vietnamese Sandwiches)….. Daily from about 11 AM until they’re gone. Chewy French Baguette wrapped around thin sliced BBQ Pork, Onion, Carrots and Cilantro with slices of raw Jalapenos just to make sure your taste buds don’t nod off. Fresh made daily. Light and tasty for just $3!Note: A-Dong is primarily an Asian market. They have a ton of interesting food-stuffs for home preparation. Fascinating store! You wont find this selection at Safeway.
