Good and Gross???. Wow. I’m not quite sure how to review this place. The people are nice, and the place is clean, and the atmosphere is very fast food like. They have a great location on Lancaster, but what about the food? Here is where it gets weird. Their chicken teriyaki is absolutely delicious. It is always extremely fresh, tender, tasty and with a delightful sauce. You really couldn’t ask for better teriyaki chicken. But some of the other stuff on the menu? This place serves some of the worst food I have ever put in my mouth. The spicy chicken for example, is nothing but chicken sauted with huge chunks of dried chili pods that have the consistency of leather along with a little bit of cabbage. Why on earth would they leave massive chunks of dried chili in the dish? Who could possibly think of such an asinine recipe? The kung po chicken is by far the worst I’ve ever had. The brown sauce is bitter and disgusting with large slices of zucchini. The chicken in both the afor-mentioned dishes was so dry you could barely chew it and did not taste very fresh. This is probably how they dispose of the old chicken from their teriyaki recipes. So there you have the strange tale of best teriyaki, a true Jekyll and Hyde sort of place.

Delicious. I eat here everytime i come to Salem. The Spicy Vegetable Chicken is really good. The people who work there are so nice and for the most part pleasant atmosphere. This is not a fancy place, kinda like a burger joint in the world of Asian food but the flavors are vibrant.

Meh. On my way through Oregon I stopped here because it was close to my hotel. The food was pretty expensive for what it was and the gyoza had that previously frozen texture and taste to it. I had the chicken teriyaki and it was just ok and the sauce wasn’t the best but it wasn’t the worst I’d ever had. I called ahead for take out and I still had to wait quite awhile for the food to be ready though admittedly the girl at the counter was very nice.

Best teriyaki. I always go to that place and its my favorite place to eat. I am leaving this comment because I TOTALLY disagree with the comment below. What kind of restaurant would use chemicals to cook food for people? That is a TOTAL NONSENSE. It is very offensive and insulting. Anyways, the price is reasonable for its food quality. I would definitely visit that place again.

Not aptly named.. I look at this place in the same way I might a convenience store. The comparative value just isn’t there, but if I were nearby, hungry and didn’t want to drive to any number of much better (and comparably priced) places, I might eat here again. Although, I’m not sure if it is, it has all the earmarks of a franchise chain. I had their Teriyaki Chicken Lunch. True Teriyaki lovers would throw rocks at their sauce. I’d bet the smokiness of the Chicken was achieved chemically. Rice and a Cabbage Salad were included. Best Teriyaki serves the same purpose as fast food Burger joints. It fills the void, but doesn’t excite the palate.

Bland. I eat here every few months, and than quickly remember why this place isn’t on my favorites list. The food is super bland and tasteless.
