When I moved to Salem in 1999, there were several Bob’s Burger places in the area. Bob’s was a beloved hangout/burger joint since the 1950s, known for their 19-cent hamburgers. Hard times fell on the chain and it closed up shop in 2001. I was intrigued to seem them recently re-open a couple of stores, so I stopped by their mall location and picked up a basic cheeseburger. It’s a decent burger, comparable to a burger from Dairy Queen or Arctic Circle, in my view. This mall location is not anything special in terms of ambiance, located within the Food Court.
